I am thankful for 2024. It filled with some many new experience in exploring, challenging and new adventures.
In 2024
I have travelled 7 countries; made 9 trips in total, of which 5 trips to Japan.
January, we were in Austria for business, then had a wonderful ski trip to Schladming. Ski in Austria was very different experience from ski in Japan. New Challenging.
March, I went alone to Zao Onsen. It was the first solo trip I did , I totally enjoyed. Without having worried about packing for others, and planning for others, I felt so relaxed and recharged after that.
April, my husband and I went to Ise and Wakayama; the Japanese Ryokan experience was so enchanting to us. My husband was so delighted too. Then we bid goodbye at Nagoya, where he went to Tokyo for business, and I joined my Hiking group for Nakasendo. It was challenging, but fun experience.
June, we brought our daughter to UK, we visited London, Liverpool and Scotland; the weather was so cold even in June, but we thoroughly enjoyed. and did lots of shopping.
July, My friend and I climbed Mr Fuji, hahaha, I kept asking myself why I was doing this, during the ascending. But friend together kept me going, it was sheer valuable experience that I never forget. The feeling on the top of mountain was surreal. Now I understand why mountain climbers keep coming back to mountains.
September, we visited the most beautiful part of China, Jiuzhaigou; Huanglong and met up with my university classmate. The air and food were not our favorite, but we were glad to see the nature and feel the improvement of Chinese.
Late September, I went to Japan alone to climb Tsugubadake. It was not as hard as Mt Fuji. I totally enjoyed the process.
December, we had our family ski trip in Japan, we went to Karuizawa and Myoko, the first time we saw the snow covered up the whole car, and more than one meter of snow piled up overnight. Driving in such condition was certainly first time, very stressful, but the Japanese road maintenance team did a fantastic job to clear the snow on the main road. Ski in Myoko was really powder snow experience. So much better than Nesiko.
Not to mention a short trips to Thailand and KL for work....
Thank you 2024, which you have given me so much rich experience, and love and care. Thank God for sustaining us each day so that we are able to enjoy his rich, abundant blessings.
