Little Moment

After class, I was taking bus back home, just as bus was going to leave the station, a couple rushing toward bus.  The bus driver kindly stopped and waited for them.

They boarded the bus and thanked bus driver.  The wife then asked for direction.  The husband moved towards my direction.  Nowadays, everyone wears mask, besides mask, he was also wearing a pair of sunglass.   Even with all these, I could see he was smiling at me, so out of politeness, I asked "where are you heading to?

"We are lost, we are looking for Hover Road"

"Oh, that is where I stay"  I replied surprised.

He immediately called his wife, they had been looking for the Hover Road and lost for half hours.

" Just follow me" 

"Thanks God for sending Angel to help us"  The husband thankfully.   I was happy to help, and even happier to be called "Angel".

We got off the bus and I led the way, the house they were looking for just 20 meters.  The little moment likes this makes me smile.:).

Become a Fan for Kpop?, yes, you read right!

 My daughter was fervent Kpop fan when she was in secondary school.  During that time, she was learning Korea; collecting kpop album, going to Kpop concerts and fan meetings, and even going to Korea....I still remember how I was angry for her obsession to the extent that she neglected her studies and family.  I was very harsh towards her at that time.   Now I regretted my harshness towards my daughters when she was a fan

Recently we had the following sms exchange:-

Now, if I tell you that I become a Fan of Kpop myself, yes, you heard right. Not any Kpop group but the only one.  Yes ! I am new Fan of Kpop group Infinite !

Being relatively conservative, though I like music,  I have never of much interested in  pop music.  Certainly not Kpop.    But recently, I come to know one special Kpop group  INFINITE, that totally blows off my head.  I wish I could have sought  to understand my daughter more when she was a fan, so that she could have full enjoyment and experience of some of wonderful things in the life.

WHY ONLY INFINITE?

Ever since that I start new chapter of my life with The One Thing and  Ambitious goal, suddenly, I saw so many opportunities to learn.

Within the short period of time, I devoured books on Personal Development, Financial Education, investment and many more. Almost of every step of learning leads to next clearer plan and strategies.

Steps by steps, the plan is formed, a few strategies emerged.  I am so excited to try and do more.

Today, I opened TD Amerite Trading account. 
This week, I also attended a talk of USA real estate investment;
Next week, I will learn Option Trading
Next month, I will learn about Real estate investment in Singapore.

I will record each step of learning and journey to help more others in future.

Keeping Learning

One of amazing thing happens when you set your goal up is.... suddenly, you are able to see so many learning opportunities are there!

• 24 Sept 2019.  I set my financial goal for five years. Coincidentally,  m y son has his five years goal set up one year earlier than mine.  But we can still work together to pursue our goals.
• Once I set my goal, I have set up plans, actions and commitment.  I start to learn on Financial education.
• I start to ready many  books including "Rich Dad Poor Dad".  20 years ago, one lady started a book reading club by reading this book.  But back then, I was too busy with my children .  Now I am ready.
• Today is my 51 years old birthday.  I can see I am ready to embrace a new chapter of my life.  I am so eager to learn new things and can wait for new challenges.  I feel just like I am 21 years old.  
• My son introduced Dan Pena, to me, this 76 year old man full of energy , he totally inspired me.  There are lots of criticism of his language, his lifestyle.  But I don't think Dan will give any shit of it.  Now I just feel I was snowflake but now I will be taking control in making my own wealth.  Thanks Dan and Robert Kiyosaki and Andy Tuner and Manojo Kumar.... YOU will be my mentors.

Goal Setting for 2020

I have been giving the HR training for my company on goal setting, last year we did SMART goal setting, this year, we will be doing "How to reach your goal?"

I, personally, have benefited tremendously from it when I prepare the materials and conduct teachings.

There are few things I have learnt:-

1. SMART goal seems very easy to understand but often it is hardest part for goal setting.

Goal setting is the process for personal growth,  those who set goals are more successful than those who do not.  But, goal specificity is the first criteria to ensure better goal attainment.  

One should have clear vision of long term and short term goal.  All of goals setting can use WOOP method

- Define your Wishes, visualize your goal, to understand yourself what you really want and what are you capable of?  This involves some honest soul searching

- Image the best Outcome when you reaching your goal, image and experience the feeling. 

- Then think about Obstacles that prevent you reaching goals; 

- Make a IF/THEN  Plan

2.  Set up GPS and A

G: Goal Specific
P: Establish a 90 days benchmark and create a weekly battle plan
S: Set schedule and execute daily
A: Final accountability partner to hold you accountable.

3. Focus on Process rather on Result Goal

While the result is important, but the process is substance of what attributes to reaching your goal. Goals without action, plan and commitment are just wishes; when you honestly execute WOOP technique and follow GPSA, work on your daily process, you will for sure improve and results comes naturally.

Even if you do not achieve your result, your own growth have leveled yourself so much higher,  you have so much better chance to be successful on any results you wish to achieve.
