IFC (Invest for Children)
Some of my friends are happily retired, so they
go SKIing all year round.
Hahaha — not actual skiing, but Spending
the Kids’ Inheritance.
When I told this to my daughter, she said,
“Mommy, instead of SKI, you should IFC — Invest
for Children.”
I thought it was funny — but yeah, it’s a good
idea too.
Every child is different. While some kids don’t
care much about fashion, Stephen is the one with a very fine (should I say
expensive?) taste.
My husband and my other sons hardly wear suits —
simply because the weather in Singapore is too hot. Except for men in certain
occupations, not many wear suits here.
But Stephen wants a nice suit.
So we went shopping. He chose the fabric, the
design, the buttons, the pockets… all the fine details.
I was quite amazed — if I were given that many choices, my brain wouldn’t be
able to handle it!
Finally, he made all the decisions, and I paid
the bill — $$$$$.
This is what I call IFC.
